Kids Classes & Events

Cooking Classes for Kids

Kids cooking classes are offered at ITK Culinary each Sunday at 10am, and are highlighted in yellow on our Calendar of Classes. The Culinary Dude, Chef Scott Davis, created the Kids Cooking program for Whole Foods where they were wildly successful and has now brought this success to ITK Culinary. The Classes are designed to be hands on experience, targeted for kids from ages 4-14 years old. Participants are guided through each recipe, learning concepts such as measuring, cutting, peeling, sautéing, baking and more. Parents are given copies of recipes so your budding chef can recreate the meal for the family. Classes change weekly so check back frequently.

Our facility also hosts events such as lectures on resolving sugar cravings, creating natural organic baby food, what to pack for school lunches and how to deal with picky eaters. We try to have one lecture or guest speaker per month.

Birthday Parties

Yes we do have kid's birthday parties! Parents can select any one of our courses led by The Culinary Dude or consult with our staff to create the perfect menu/event for your little one. Parties are typically 2 hours long and we focus on getting the kids involved while having fun. You can have your party here where we have ample parking and beautiful furnishings or have us come to your location. Here are a few themes of the parties we offer:

Community Involvement

ITK Culinary is dedicated to making cooking accessible to everyone. To that end, we have partnered with Kids Cooking for Life to bring cooking programs to underserved youths in the community. In the past months, ITK and Kids Cooking for Life have banded together to bring students from locals schools for a weeklong camps focusing on nutrition, food preparation, safety and skills. Funding has been generously supported by the Ted B. Smith and Family Foundation.
